While some view it as an 18th-century hoax possibly linked to Sámuel Literáti Nemes, others argue its complexity and adherence to linguistic patterns suggest authenticity. Recent studies, like those by Tokai, Király, and Láng, propose it as a coded religious text from the 16th century, but no consensus exists. The codex continues to challenge scholars, cryptographers, and enthusiasts, its secrets locked within its 448 pages of cryptic symbols and haunting illustrations.
